Mute Swan - Connecticut winter

Not native to North America having been introduced from Europe but now having established breeding populations. Disliked by some for their aggressiveness towards humans especially during nesting season. Also they can eat large amounts of underwater vegetation needed by other ducks and fish. The positive side is they are absolutely beautiful. Ive spent hours studying them and find them to be graceful and fun to watch. They mate for life. About 12 to 31 lbs.
